He was one of my supervisors in the past and I learned a thing or two from him. He was fair but he could be hardnosed at times, and there were times when he would make me laugh. He was a good man and I was disappointed to see him go when he decided it was time to retire. He was a good man, and my condolences to his family.

You were the best Dad I have ever know, you took me into your family with open arms and did a lot fussing to get me to where I am today. I am going to really miss our talks and helping understand about your grand kids. Thank you you for all the things you try to do to help me raise our twins. I will remember you and love you for what you meant to me in my life. Thank you

My Dear Sgt Baker, how it hurt to hear of your passing but we must all go that way. You were quite an inspiration & such a pleasure to work with but an even greater pleasure to know. To the family of Sgt. Baker - your Dad was such an honorable man, tough but he had a great heart. You are in my prayers for strength and comfort. He truly will be missed.

A man who walked softly but carried a big stick! That is an analogy expressing that Robert always came off to me as a man who conducted himself in a dignified manner. While I have only witnessed him to be abrupt once with another, he was still as the old saying goes "Firm, but Fair!" I trained him when he was first hired and while we didn't really know each other, his friendly character right off the bat started him calling me "Strick" instead of Deputy or my first name. From there others followed suit. Today people still refer to me as Strick and I don't mind cause I've been called worse. It is a shock to learn of his passing, but the comfort comes from knowing his joy is with the LORD now! Rest easy brother!
