Not sure what to say?

It´s hard to believe it´s been over 10 yrs that Hector´s been gone. Since I´ve know him, just about all my life & he was also our neighbor, he´s always been a character. Sad that he didn´t get to see our Astros win the WS TWICE! And sad that we won´t be seeing him at our 50th Jeff Davis HS reunion in a couple of weeks. But we will have his picture there so others can see he was a big part of our lives too. RIP JHD!

I met Joe in high school. What a great athlete! Funny too! Not funny hilarious is more like it!! I hope one of his children or grandchildren inherit his sense of humor to bring light to darkness. I know god had a special plan from Joe which is why he was taken from us so early. I sure god goes home at the end of the day with his ribs hurting from laughing all day!!!! Rest In Peace my brother!

Even though it's been many, many years since I have spoken with Joe Hector, he has always been in some very fond memories of mine. As a teenager, he was a good friend with my brother, Joe, and would come to our house quite often. But instead of hanging out with my brother, Joe Hector would sit at the kitchen table and talk to my Mom while she was busy making dinner. They'd talk and talk and he would make her laugh so much. For this happy memory, Joe Hector will always be in my heart. God bless you and give comfort to your immediate and extended family.
