Lee White Lance, Jr., 85, died on November 5, 2015. Lee was born on October 8, 1930 in Chattanooga, TN to Lee White Lance and Sophia Sims Lance.
He is preceded in death by his siblings Jean Crawford, Robert (Bobby) Lance, and Ann Ritter. Lee is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol, his brother Davis Sims Lance (Gail) of Nashville and his daughters Emmy Ragen (Tim) of Savannah and Melissa Earthman (William III) of Nashville and sons Scott Lance (Lisa) of Savannah and Lee W. Lance III of Houston. His wonderful life was further enriched by his nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
After graduation from Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Lee attended Georgia Tech on a football scholarship. He subsequently attended and graduated from his beloved Sewanee "The University of the South" where he was president of the SAE Fraternity, a Gownsman and played and coached football as well as serving in the Tennessee Air National Guard.
After college, Lee began a lifelong career in the insurance industry starting as a Managing General Agent in Nashville and later in Memphis before opening his own firm of Lee Lance & Company in Houston.

What a wonderful testimony! We were 2nd cousins 2ce removed and thus, never had the opportunity to meet. From your legacy, it's obvious that you loved and were well loved. Prayers for your (any my) family.
