I did not know Fadel well at all, though he was a great mentor to my middle son at least one summer during my son's college years. Fadel joined us for dinner out one evening, before my son returned to school, and I found him to be a sweet, caring, gentle individual. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Although I had not seen Fadel for years, I have wonderful memories of him as a thoughtful, very intelligent and very interesting person! He had joined Emerson UU Church, Houston, TX, in 1987 and maintained his active membership at Emerson all through the years--even though he lived in WA and was no longer active with the church. Very impressive! Very honorable! I am sorry for the loss of a fine person!

Dr. Erian was my mentor, friend and Ph.D. advisor. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. May the Lord bless his soul and may he rest in peace.

I remember Fadel fondly from our years as members of the Unitarian church in Kennewick. He was brilliant and interesting and never afraid of expressing an opinion! Please accept my condolences.

Fadel will always be one of my favorite humans! He blessed my life by being such a sweet, fun, funny, informative and most importantly loving man. He shared many stories of his life with me and I always admired the love he had for his family, friends and community. He took great pride in his smile. I had the privilege of being his Dental Hygienist over the past few years. Rest in Peace my friend. I will see you again.

Dr. Erian was also one of the most generous people I've had the pleasure to meet. He supported many charities and non-profits. His heart was so big. He is a huge loss to his community and the world. May he rest in peace. My condolences for his family and his friends.

A good friend who I fell out of touch with has passed. He always enjoyed the Maple syrup, we passed along from my in-laws. Fadel used it to make his tea sweet. A wonderful man, and a kind and caring humanist. He can now carry on those conversation with my father, he enjoy so much.

Fadel was a member of the Shalom Missions and Social action committee. He was so pleased to be able to help refugees by speaking Arabic and finding things they need. Fadel was a problem-solver; from major engineering feats to purchasing special coffee cups at Shalom so we could recognize newcomers and be sure to great them. One of my favorite memories of Fadel was him telling me rather bluntly during a MSA meeting "if people don't want to write letters, they aren't going to write letters". I took this advice to heart and worked on other ways to help people be politically active in creating social change. He was wise, intelligent, considerate, and will be missed.

My most sincere sympathy. I so enjoyed our conversations over the years. Such a fascinating man. I visited him several times at Canyon Lakes and he was so upbeat and positive.

He was the perfect coffee companion - interested in what others had to say, opinionated, articulate, passionate in his values and views, curious in educating himself about what he didn't know or hadn't encountered. I was grateful to be able to share time with him. Thanks, Fadel.

Fadel was a warm and personable friend who shared many hours with me simply talking. I looked in on him regularly a couple of years ago as he convalesced from a broken bone. A gentleman and a gentle man. He will be missed at Shalom UCC and in my life.
