Unfortunately, time has expired for our beloved Michael Carson Spencer. He passed away at his home in Houston. He will be missed by his wife, daughter, family, and endless friends.
He was reared in Austin where he made many lifelong friends in his time on earth with us. He attended high school at Texas Military Institute in San Antonio where he played many sports but he always carried a passion for football. He followed his passion to college where he played at Pitzer College in California. After graduation he moved back to Texas where he worked at Gainer Donnelly & Desrochres, then worked for RPC Investments, followed by Draker Enterprises. In 2002, his career with coffee began with Lola Savannah Coffee & Tea. He grew the company from a tiny company, to an enterprise. In 2016 he became a partner at Austin Java, where he was a crucial part in the company's development. He was known for his way with words and his social personality. He was a true and honest person and strived to please. He always delivered and exceeded life's expectations. He faced every challenge with diligence and a hunger to succeed. He was always a team player and was wise beyond his years. Michael always admired his father for his decorum, pride, and honorable career as a surgeon and his mother for her elegance and nobility. He will be dearly missed and celebrated, we will continue to love and remember him for the family man he was. We will attempt to find peace by acknowledging his presence in the heavens above.
Michael is survived by his wife Clea Pastore and daughter Anna Pearl Spencer; his father Donald C. Spencer; his sister Josephine Spencer Brent, husband Greg, their children Sarah and Spencer; his brother Thomas William Spencer, wife Gigi, their children Carson and Hunter. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Klotz Spencer. Many other family members and friends join us grieving for Michael.
A memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church on Monday January 28, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Anna Pearl's college savings account. Contributions can be made out to College Savings Iowa and sent to Anna Pearl Spencer at 5817 Trailridge Drive, Austin, Texas 78731.

Love this precious soul that is now holding his mama close. There will never be another Michael Spencer and the world will not be the same. He was unique, one of a kind. I love the story his mother Nancy told about him as a child. They were late to school, sitting in the car and 'no Michael'. She may have honked (not sure) but out the door came Michael on all fours...he had decided to be a 'horse' that day.......and crawled all the way into the car.
