Dearest Ingaborg,
It has been many years since we have played on a tennis court together but I remember our time batting the ball around very fondly. Also, I have often imagined of all the fish you have pulled out of the bay and wondered if there are any left for all the other fisherman trying to snag a few.
When I heard the news that your husband passed away today, I was broken hearted for you. Such very sad news, indeed. My dear friend, I send you my very deepest condolences. I hope you find solace in the love of your family and the memories in your heart.

A. J. was a memorable, good, man and a great neighbor. I didn't know him long but we had many long conversations about our similar types of work and lessons learned in our lives while sitting in the shade of the big tree between our houses, and sharing a bit of scotch to lubricate our tongues. All who knew him will miss him. Rest in peace, A. J.
