I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER BRUCE FOR BEING VERY KIND AND CONSIDERATE THROUGHOUT THE TWENTY-FOUR YEARS I HAVE WORKED FOR THE HARRISON FAMILY. IT WAS ALWAYS A PRIVILEGE TO SERVE BRUCE THE MEXICAN FOOD HE LIKED WHEN HE CAME OVER TO THE ARROW S RANCH. WE SHALL MISS YOUR VISITS TO THE "BIG HOUSE" BUT YOUR MEMORY WILL LIVE FOREVER.

My name is Jacky Gonzales and My grandfather was Jesus Gonzales. We lived on the Piloncillo Ranch for a while and Uncle Jesse still is on the Harrison Ranch in Fulshear. I just want yall to know our prayers are with the family. Yall were there when my grandpa passed away and that meant alot to our family. I am the daughter of Joe Gonzales. I know what yall are going through because it was very hard when I lost my grandpa. Our prayers are with yall in your time of need.

Bruce and I were classmates all through River Oaks Elementary School. He was a quiet, kind person, one who obviously grew into a wonderful man. The many entries here and the article in the newspaper attest to his contributions and to the legacy he has left in many lives. His family and friends will be in my prayers.

We had the distinct honor of knowing Bruce through a difficult time some years back and came to be friends over the following years. I don’t think I’ve ever met a person that was as straight spoken as Bruce. I believe that he could communicate more with a single grunt and a look, than most people with 10,000 words. We will miss Bruce but there will be lasting memories of his kindness and friendship.

All of us who work for the Harrison Family will miss Bruce so much. Bruce was a very quiet and shy man but he was kind and caring to all of us. Bruce, you will be dearly missed by myself, Shelley and my daughters. As one of your ranch managers, you taught me so much about land management, preservation, wildlife conservation, landowner rights and responsibility, cattle management and so much more. I will always be in your debt for the many things you taught me. Above all else, I will always remember your great sense of integrity and kindness. I have so many great memories of times spent with you on the ranches like working cattle,pursuing deer, riding horses, grilling steaks, swimming, firing truck-loads of fireworks off the bridge at Potluck, sitting aroung the camp fires and drinking a Scotch, and so many more. God be with you and your family! Thank you for the great times and your true friendship!

Bruce was always so nice. When I was 10 years old he would always pull into my parents driveway and say hello to me. He had his pick up with calf ropes hanging in the rear window. I was sitting at the counter in Sealy buying tractor parts last week and asked one of the ranch hands, Freddie, how our friend Bruce was doing. I was so shocked when I heard the news today. Laura and I send our thoughts and prayers.

My brother Michael called Saturday to tell me about Bruce. Since then, I have been praying for Bruce and his family. I last spoke to him a few weeks ago at the Lamar High School FFA auction. He will be missed deeply.

His wife and his son were so welcoming when we would visit with my brother,
