FLOYD MARTIN MUSE, 76, of Houston, Texas passed away Saturday January 24, 2009. He was born January 30, 1932 in Woodsworth, Louisiana to Louie Muse and Georgia Hodge. Floyd was the President and Chief operating officer and was associated with Pruitt Company for 57 years. He received awards in recognition of years of leadership in the trucking industry. Floyd was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will always remain in our hearts and may God always be with him in eternity. He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary; daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl Muse, Dana and Carl Sprayberry; grandchildren, Cortney, Colby, Cara, Dylan, and Ellery Sprayberry; brothers, Louie Jr., Harold, Presley, Don, and Jimmy Muse; Sisters, Chazel Lee, and Elaine Lucas. Floyd is also survived by many other family members whom loved him dearly. The family would like to give thanks to all of his Doctors at Methodist Hospital. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday January 28, 2009 with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Services will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday January 29, 2009 at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Maddox officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be, W.C. Edwards, D.M. Edwards, and J.M. Frost.
