GAYLE GREER LEDFORD(1945-2009) Beloved daughter of Dr. Cecil Greer (deceased) and Monna R Greer, passed away on September 20, 2009.She is survived by her sister Cecile Greer Burns and her two sons, James Patrick Ledford and John Robert Ledford II, along with her two grand children Abigail Ledford and John Robert Ledford III, were her greatest joys.Gayle attended the Kincaid School and graduated from Lamar High School where she was a member of the "Choralettes." An accomplished harpist, she attended Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia, where she was presented as a member of the "Mardi Gras Court." As an equestrian she participated in the "Hoofprints Club" and later was awarded many honors a t the Pin Oaks Horse Show in Houston.She graduated with a degree in history from the University of Houston.Gayle will always be remembered for her great love and kindness, her beautiful smile, great wit, and the sparkle in her bright blue eyes.Private Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 10:00am.
