JoAnn Stepchinski Obituary

JoAnn Stepchinski
1935-2018
JoAnn "Annie" Humphries Stepchinski, aged 83, died peacefully on September 29, 2018 at Hill Country Care in Dripping Springs, TX with her family by her side. JoAnn was born on November 9, 1935 in Pidcoke, TX. She was the daughter of the late Henry Judson Humphries and Mary Josephine Jolly. JoAnn was a long time resident of Gulf Meadows in Houston, TX. She was employed at Monsanto where she gained the love and respect of her many co-workers. She left Monsanto when her son was born and threw her energy into raising her family. Joann was a woman of faith and the rock of the Stepchinski family. With a real zest for life, Mrs. Stepchinski loved to attend Astros games, read, play cards/games-especially with her grandchildren, chat with and regularly go to lunch with her friends, and travel...just to name a few.
JoAnn is survived by her husband Aloysius M. Stepchinski of Austin, TX; one son, Michael Wayne Stepchinski of Austin, TX; one daughter, Jill Marie Stepchinski Shofner of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Ashley Marie Shofner and Austin Michael Shofner, both of Houston, TX. Also surviving are her sister, Dixie Nell McDaniel and her husband, Norman of League City, TX; and her cousin Clayton Gotcher of Kempner, TX.
Memorial viewing will be held Friday, October 12th at 12 P.M. to 2 P.M., followed by a memorial mass at 2 P.M. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church located at 10727 Hartsook St, Houston, TX 77034. Interment to follow at South Park Cemetery located at 1310 N. Main, Pearland, TX 77581.

Mom, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for me, listening to me, helping and forgiving me, loving me, and always always paving the way for me. I will work very hard to reach the standard you set. Farewell mama. R.I.P.

I love you ❤
