FIRST LIEUTENANT JONATHAN DAVID ROZIER, 25, of Katy was killed by a rocket-propelled grenade while serving his country in Iraq on Saturday, July 19, 2003. During his service in the U.S. Army, Jonathan received two Bronze Stars (one with a "V" device for Valor in combat) and the Meritorious Service Medal, among others. He had been promoted to 1st Lieutenant one month before his death. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Rozier; his son, Justin David Rozier; his parents, David and Barbara Rozier; his sister, Elizabeth Rozier; his brothers Benjamin Rozier and Joshua Rozier; his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Ann Rozier; as well as other loving family members. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 600 Pin Oak Road in Katy, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Tommy Alford officiating.
