Margaret Gregg
Margaret Gregg, age 86, went home to her Lord and Savior on July 30, 2017.
Born in Ennis, Texas, she was raised in Houston, spending the rest of her life there. She graduated from San Jacinto High School then attended Rice University, where she met her husband Bob. They shared 67 years of love and marriage.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Etta Minahan, her brothers Joe and Tim, and infant son Charles Robert Gregg, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Robert Gregg, daughters Kathy Stringfellow (Mac) and Debbie Bouche', grandchildren Carrie Peterson (Derek), Regan Stringfellow (Sara), Michelle Smith (Andy), Stephen Bouche, David Bouche and 11 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was devoted to her family and friends. She had a gift for hospitality, always ready to plan an occasion for celebration, recreation and fellowship. She was an accomplished homemaker, gourmet, gardener, seamstress and pianist. Margaret and Bob always enjoyed times spent with family and friends – boating on Lake Travis, snow skiing in Colorado, tennis, dancing, bridge, and travel through the U.S. and many other countries.
Margaret lived with an abiding faith in Christ. She served actively as a member of Second Baptist Church, as a Bible Study Fellowship Leader and other ministries. She cared greatly for others. She served the community through Houston Junior Forum and Houston Baptist University Ladies Guild, a past president.
Margaret lived at Silverado Senior Living in Sugarland the past five years. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the dedicated staff who cared so lovingly for her.
Margaret touched the lives of many, a shining light for Christ. She will be remembered with love.
