Nancy Endress Patterson
1939-2017
Nancy Endress Patterson, a longtime resident of the Fairmount area of Sabine County, moved from the Church Militant to the Great Church Triumphant on Friday, March 10, 2017, while in the Pineywood's Hospice in Lufkin, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Maurice. She is also survived by one daughter, Penny Louise Patterson and wife, Margie O'Brien, of Palm Springs, California; one son, Laurence William Patterson and wife, Cheryl, of Dallas, Texas; and grandchildren, James Lee Patterson, Tatum Wells, William Wells Patterson and Ashlee Parker and family, all of Dallas, Texas.
Nancy was born in Houston, Texas on October 18, 1939. Her parents, both deceased, were Charles and Ruby Endress. Nancy attended West University Elementary School, Pershing Junior High, and graduated from Lamar High School in 1957. She was a lifelong Presbyterian, dedicated homemaker, a cook of great culinary skill, a dog lover beyond belief, and orchid lover and grower, a person with a "GREEN THUMB", and a wondrous mother to her children. She will be sorely missed.
A memorial service honoring her life will be announced at a later date.
