I was Sewanee C'60. Paul was among the elite, much liked and admired. I was a very slight acquaintance.
I lost my mother to Alzheimer's and supported my father in his care for her. Nobody who does not go through your experience has a clue what it is like. Losing such a fine, impressive person like Paul at an early age is very cruel. Here's hoping for a cure!
My heartfelt condolences.

Paul was a year behind me at Sewanee and a fraternity brothr. Although I didn't see him often after college, it was a treat to visit with him. I last saw Paul over dinner in Houston and the memory of that pleasant visit is still vivid. To his family, my prayers are with you. Frank Sames

Paul and I were together for four years at Sewanee. I believe that he was well-liked by all who knew him. I saw him again at our 25th Reunion, and he brightened that event for all who attended. I lost my father-in-law, who was like a second father to me, to Alzheimers. Please accept my sincere sympathy - we will keep the image of the Paul we knew, who loved life, alive in our collective memories.
