Paul Perrin Obituary
Paul S. Perrin Paul S. Perrin, 88, died October 14, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. A native Oklahoman, Paul graduated from high school in Wetumka, OK. He served in the USAF in the China/Burma/India theatre of war in World War II. He married Pat McGee in 1950 and following graduation from OSU, then Oklahoma A&M College, he was a partner in an independent insurance agency: Johnson, Perrin & Brown, which was a well-known agency for forty years.
Paul loved hunting and fishing and invented, developed and sold many fishing and hunting products under the name Fish-N-Hunt, Inc. He was always concerned about safety and his favorite product was Walk-N-Wade Leg Guards, which he developed to protect fishermen from stingrays and hunters from snakes.
Baseball was Paul's other passion, which he and Pat shared with their children, friends and fellow season ticketholders. They were serious Houston Astros fans for 35 years.
Paul suffered a stroke in 1998 and following deteriorating health, he and his wife Pat moved to Tulsa in 2006 to be near their daughters. He is survived by his wife Pat (McGee), daughters Paula Steinmetz and Mike, Pam Schloeder and Frank, all of Tulsa; two sons in Houston, Phil and Patrick and Debbie Perrin. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Krista (Tim) Childress, Marci (Joe) Falvey, Bryan Jackson, Patricia and Mark Perrin, and one great-granddaughter, Lily. His sister Beulah Mae Perrin of Tulsa preceded him in death.
A private family service will be held in Wetumka, OK at the First United Methodist Church with burial in the Wetumka cemetery.
Those desiring to honor Paul's memory may do so through contributions to the OSU Foundation-Tulsa, c/o Stephen Mason, 700 N. Greenwood, Tulsa, OK 74106.
