Timothy Scott
Timothy Scott passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on November 7th, 2018. A devoted husband, loving father, son, brother and beloved "Papa", he put his family above all else. He was born on August 13, 1958 in Odessa, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen Scott, daughter Hayley Von Frank, son Derek Scott, granddaughter Evelyn Von Frank, and son-in-law Matthew Von Frank. He is also survived by his mother Barbara Scott, his father William Scott, sister Kristy Scott, and Father-in-Law Vincent Buonassisi.
Tim was larger than life in every sense of the phrase. In his earlier years, he was a record breaking, world class shotput and discus thrower at Texas A&M University and he competed internationally. He was an Aggie through and through, and cared a little too much when his teams weren't doing their best. He was also a free agent for the New Orleans Saints in 1981 and in 1982 he claimed first place in weightlifting at SHC, making him the strongest man in Texas. Although his strength was obvious in his appearance, he was a big softie on the inside. A true gentleman and sentimental to the core, he had a presence that left an impact on everyone he met.
Tim worked for Nalco Champion Energy Services for 21 years. After working in sales and management domestically and internationally, he found his true calling coaching and mentoring others in his training and development role. His innate ability for storytelling, which made him perfect for his position, was one of the many things we loved about him. His avid love for golf both physically and virtually occupied many hours of his leisure time. He was the king of bad dad jokes which he always seemed to find hysterical. Apparently he had mastered an impeccable Sean Connery impression that even Scotsmen were fooled into believing, or so he claimed. There's a big hole in our family and our hearts that will never be filled, but our memories and knowing he will be watching over us gives us comfort.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to MD Anderson Cancer Center. The funeral mass as well as a celebration of life following the service in the parish hall will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 10:00 a.m. at:

Tim was a frequent contributor on our golf game forums. His posts were respected and well thought out. He will be missed by the video golf game community for sure.

I had many conversations with Tim via messages on the HB Forums. It was a pleasure to get to know him.

We are honoring Tim with a tournament in our game this weekend. The Tim Scott Memorial tournament will be played across all of our golf Societies on the 24th and 25th. It will be hosted on one of his favorite fictional courses in the game.

Tim will be sorely missed among the cyber golf community. He was a highly respected member of our world and was looked to for advice on gaming, technology, stocks, and life. It won't be the same out on the cyber fairways without Tim, but one thing is for sure... we'll never forget and will keep his memory alive as we interact.

My condolences go out to Tim's family. You were all blessed to have such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and son in your lives. I pray that God will comfort you in the days of ahead. Please know that a cyber community of golf gamers are unified in our well wished and prayers for you!

What a beautiful tribute to a loving man--my deepest condolences to everyone who knew him, most especially his family. I met Tim for the first time when I travelled to Houston, Texas for Karen and Tim's wedding. They picked me up at at the airport at some ungodly hour in the morning, Tim politely listening to the squeals, giggles, and gossip of two young woman with a history of Bubble Yum, sleepovers, Love Boat/Fantasy Island and All Night Skate, as only kind hearted men do for the childhood friend of their intended, even though they probably have a million other things to do. Texan through and through, Tim was big and brawny, and full of Texas charm. What was immediately apparent was the true love the two shared. Karen (who was boy crazy in our youth) had found the perfect, deserving man for her happily ever after. My heart breaks that her ever after ended too soon. My thoughts are with Karen and her family during this unimaginably difficult time.

Although I saw Tim Scott at random times while in middle school and high school growing up with Hayley, I always knew this is what a dad should be. He always made me feel welcomed and engaged in conversation with real genuine interest. The love story of both Karen and Tim were of my childhood dreams and probably like many others instilled what a girl should look for in man. He will be truly missed and although sparse moments in time we shared, Tim made a great impact in my younger life to the woman I am today. Thanks for showing me what true love is and what a family of love comes from.

We were friends in high school and Tim was always smiling! One of the nicest guys in our class. It was so wonderful to see him post his happy life, beautiful love of his life... his wife and the pride of his children. His presence will be sorely missed because everywhere he went he was like the flame that the moths could not resist!
If you ever met him Tim, you never forgot him. Prayers and condolences for his family.
