Jenn, I'm so sorry for your loss. We've never met IRL that I know of, but after reading some of the material about John it's very possible that we could have seen each other in Plantersville or Waxahatchie.

We are blessed with having known John's gentle spirit.
I keep seeing his face before me, smiling and laughing; remember all the times I was able to provide his water on the list field as fought rapier.
He amazed me when he decided to pursue metalsmithing and just went after it, with little knowledge or access to books; I will miss our conversations on the subject and the potential he had as his skills grew.
Most of all, I think I'll miss his grace, the gentleman that he was, never wanting to speak ill of someone, always ready to lend a hand, and his obvious love for Jennifer and his daughter Mary (my, how she favors him).

John was a true gentleman! His skills far passed those on the rapier field - he was a Renaissance man in so many different ways, dancing being one of them. He'll be missed on so many different levels by so many people!
One thing I'll miss a great deal is his smile. His whole face lit up and his eyes would just shine. When did he smile the most? When he was with his wife and daughter!
