Dear Mr. Merriman,
God Bless you and your family at this sad time. Pat was an inspiration to me from the first time I met her more than twenty years ago. She was witty and kind, and always made everyone around her feel special. She will be missed greatly.

I always enjoyed seeing Mrs. Merriman, dressed to the nines, at daily mass or Grandparent's Day at St. Michael. She always had a kind word and a beautiful smile. I am sure God is so pleased to have her in His presence! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Uncle Paul,
My love and prayers go out to you and all my cousins and their families. I have nothing but wonderful memories of all of you. Some of my best memories are of the summers when Grandma would announce that "The Merrimans" were coming to Pittsburgh. Tim and I were just talking about the time everyone was on Grandma's swing and it broke...you remember guys? It made us laugh...but all my other memories, and I am happy to say that there many, are truly treasured. The distance may be great, but my love for all of you surrounds you instantly. Angels guide and help you through the next difficult days, but know that love is being sent from Pittsburgh, now and always.
