Kenneth Thelander
Kenneth Wayne Thelander passed to his heavenly home on July 28, 2015 at the age of 75 years. Kenneth was born in Houston,Texas to Gunnar and Mary Thelander on September 28th, 1939.
As a boy Kenneth enjoyed riding horses, building and racing hotrods. When Kenneth was 15 years old, he attended a Billy Graham Crusade. For the first time, he understood the message of John 3:16. Kenneth opened his heart to Jesus and began a lifelong relationship.
As a young adult, Kenneth entered the military where he was stationed in Kentucky. He became a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division.
Upon returning to Houston, Kenneth entered law school and thus the legal profession. He practiced in several areas of law with skill and expertise for over 50 years.
Kenneth had a lighthearted personality, respectful to all he interacted with. He could tell a great story with laughter and a good joke. His compassion for others led him to notice and pray for his family, friends and whoever might come across his path.
As a father, Kenneth was devoted to his children, always making time for them, encouraging each one and so proud of their achievements. He loved his family and friends with a strong and beautiful heart which outlasted his physical one.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Gunnar and Mary Thelander. He is survived by his wife, Natalie Thelander and daughter, Katie, daughters Lisa Thelander Dudley and family, Kristen Thelander, and son Gunnar Thelander, and daughter Jennifer Thelander.
