1940-2018
Karen Lastre, age 77, passed away February 18, 2018 after a brief illness.
Karen was born in Anoka, MN on September 10, 1940 to Ruth and Alexander Kober. She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Bernardo Lastre, her beloved sister, Cheryl "Sherri" Esterby, her children Michael (Carol) Belisle, Denise Belisle, Mark (Cara) and grandchildren Harley and Isabella Belisle. Karen is preceded in death by her ex-husband Roger Belisle.
For the past 18 years, Karen maintained a studio at Art Square Studios at 2711 S. Main St, Houston, TX 77002, where she continued to paint until the last year of her life. A Celebration of Life will be held at Art Square Studio on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
