Michalski, Norbert F.
Norbert F. Michalski, 87, former longtime Tisch Mills resident, entered into eternal life Sunday morning, April 28, 2013, at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center of Green Bay. Norbert was born Aug. 24, 1925, to the late Michael and Anna Adamski Michalski. He served his country in the United States Navy, and married the former Geraldine Steffel on April 27, 1949, at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark, Wis., she preceded him in death Jan. 11, 2008. Norbert farmed in the Tisch Mills area for many years. He was a very active member of St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills and was a founding member of the Holy Name Men's Choir of the church. He was also a member of the Mishicot VFW Kempen-Staudinger-Terens Post #7753 and of the Robinson American Legion Post #538 of the town of Carlton. He was a member of the Mishicot-Tisch Mills Knights of Columbus Council #4807, where he served as past Grand Knight. Norbert was an avid sports fan, especially of the Green Bay Packers, and enjoyed many years of card playing. He loved to reminisce and visit with people. He had a great love of farming.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Gary Slowinski, Stevens Point; Mary Jo and Lynne Deubler, Manitowoc; Debra and Bill Ver Boort, California; Nancy and Bill Schmidt, Delafield; and by one son and daughter-in-law, Norbert and Lisa Michalski, Tisch Mills; 10 grandchildren, Stacy and Nicole Slowinski, Katheryn (Shane) Schmitz, Greg Deubler, Allison (Joe) Hopkins, Rachel Ver Boort, Stephanie and Justin Schmidt, Matthew and Michael Michalski; two great-grandchildren, Alexander Slowinski and Kendall Schmitz. He is further survived by one brother, Raymond Michalski, Luxemburg; and by six sisters, Dorothy Metzler, Green Bay; Virginia Heim, Green Bay; Genny Manecke, Michigan; Shirley Michalski, Green Bay; Patricia Tarkowski, Green Bay; and Kate Koeninger, Texas; nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, and wife, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia; two brothers, Tom and Paul Michalski; and by one sister, Gloria Hrubesky.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013, at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills, with the Reverend Dennis Drury officiating, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Friday after 9 a.m. at the church, until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation. Norbert's family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff of the Rennaisance Assisted Living Facility of De Pere, for the love, and special care extended to Norbert during his residency there. Your kindness will always be remembered. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Michalski family with funeral arrangments.

Your dad was a wonderful person and we loved visiting with him. When I made chicken soup or meatloaf we made an extra portion for your dad. We have missed him and he is remembered with warm memories
