Alek DeBauche Obituary

Alek J. DeBauche

Alek James DeBauche was born on December 19, 2012 to Christopher DeBauche and Katie Sieracki. He entered into eternal life on April 1, 2013 with his grandparents, Julie & Kurt Richardson as well as other passed family members.

Alek was loved by his brothers and sister: Annika and Kyle Sieracki, Dequan and Davion DeBauche, and also by all of his aunts, uncles and great grandparents. Alek was born with multiple heart defects that led to having two open heart surgeries at one month of age. He was scheduled for another heart surgery in a couple months. Alek's strength and courage made him surpass the odds and anybody's expectations. Alek loved to be held and cuddled. He enjoyed every minute he had snuggling with his family. His smile was enough to brighten up the entire room.

Alek made it home on Thursday March 28, 2013 where he spent his last few days enjoying life outside the hospital being a normal baby.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. John Aitken will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com

A big thank you to the nurses and doctors at Children's Hospital in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, they became like our second family. The staff helped make Alek's adventure possible. Also thank you to everybody who followed Alek's story. All of the support and prayers truly helped our family get him as far as we did.

I know that I am a complete stranger, from this same area/county. I hurt for you, for what you are going thru...

I believe in angels, young and old. And I pray for them, and I know they watch over us...
I am praying for Baby Alek, and your family...

I do not know the family but I just wanted to say how very sorry I am to see this little angel is no longer with us. It's never easy to lose anyone but I can't even begin to imagine how incredibly difficult it is to lose a child. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this oh-so-difficult time!

To Alek's family...
We don't know you but just lost our nearly 3 month old granddaughter. The pain is sharp, but know you will come to remember him as the baby you cuddled at home.

Hold your family close in hugs,

Sincerely,

David & Sarah Gallagher
