Jean C. Kasberger

Jean C. Kasberger, 83, of Sheboygan passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Morningside Health Center.

Jean was born on January 10, 1930 in Manitowoc, a daughter to the late Raymond and Anne (Engeldinger) Harlow. She attended school in Manitowoc and then entered the Holy Family Convent and after that technical school in Minnesota.

On July 27, 1957 Jean was united in marriage to Mathias Kasberger at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and he preceded her in death. Prior to her marriage she had been a lab technician at St. Nicholas Hospital. She continued this profession briefly following her marriage. Jean always enjoyed her family, especially time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, baking and bowling. She was the librarian for many years at St. Peter Claver Catholic School.

Jean was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church where she was very active. She was a member of the St. Anne Christian Women, the Women Catholic Order of the Foresters and the D'Werdenfelser Schuplatters. Jean worked at the voting polls and was a scorekeeper for bowling tournaments.

Jean is survived by her four sons and three daughters, Mark (Ingrid) Kasberger of Sheboygan, Tom (Renee) Kasberger of Sheboygan Falls, Robert (Heidi) Kasberger and Jim Kasberger, both of Sheboygan, Barbara Bricker (special friend, Leon) of West Allis, Joan (Karl) Miller and Anne (Robert) Schroeder, both of Sheboygan; twelve grandchildren, Brent (Katie) Kasberger, Blake (Jessie) Kasberger, Holly Kasberger, Andrew Kasberger, Natalie Kasberger, Maggie Kasberger, Dustin Bricker (fiance' Leandra), Evan (Stef) Miller, Kaitlin Miller, Courtney Miller, Robert Schroeder and Mathias Schroeder; two expected great grandchildren and four sisters, Rita (Fred) Greenwald of Springfield, Ill, Mary Tuesburg, Grace (Don) Markwardt and Inez McDermott all of Manitowoc. In addition to her husband, Mathias, Jean was preceded in death by a son, John, her sisters, Eileen, Neuser and Benita Ewald, her brother, Patrick Harlow, brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.

A Memorial Mass for Jean will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, June 21 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Cerpich presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the church, 1444 S. 11th St. on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Jean's name.
