Alvin C. Jindra, Winter Haven, FL, died on August 1, 2016 at the age of 95. Al was born to Alvin and Leona (Meineke) Jindra on June 29, 1921 in Manitowoc County Wisconsin. Al graduated from Mishicot high school, and earned a degree in Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He married Billie Fey Crawhall from Portage WI in 1949 and they were blessed with 6 children.

Al worked as a County extension agent in Columbia County and as a field representative for Hawthorne Melody Dairy and Badgerland Coop. Al moved the family to Madison to work for Bowman Farm Dairy, and for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection. Al always treasured the rich agricultural abundance that Wisconsin enjoys, he was a kind steward of the land and those who labored along with him.

Al was an active member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, serving in many offices and as an elder in the church for many years after retirement. His rich bass voice was a gift to the choir. Alvin and Billie Fey wintered in Avon Park, FL near daughter Jane and last resided in Winter Haven, Florida.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ethel (Eddie) Breitwisch, his brothers Roy and Daniel, and in-laws Jim and Leone (Crawhall) Van Epps, Emil ""Red"" Schleis.

He is survived by his wife Billie Fey, sister, Grace Schleis, sisters in-law, Carol and Pat, children Steve, Madison, Brian (Marty), Beaver Dam, David, Fitchburg, Jane (William) Breylinger, Avon Park, FL, Karen (Randy) Schulz, Mt Horeb, Todd (Elizabeth) Fitchburg, grandchildren Ben, Jack, Ava, Charity, Celeste, Danielle, Amber, Colin, Matthew and Adam, and many nieces and nephews.
