Gladys A. Retzlaff Obituary
Gladys A. Retzlaff, age 84, current resident of the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers, formerly of 3711 Bellevue Place, died on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Hamilton Care Center.

Gladys was born September 5, 1927 in Two Rivers to the late Joseph and Anna (Anderle) Pilzak. She attended St. Luke's Catholic School, and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1945. On February 26, 1949, she married Ralph F. Retzlaff in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2011.

Gladys worked for a number of years as a clerk for Harlow Foods, and later worked at Hamilton Mfg. Co. for 23 years, retiring in October, 1989. She was a member of the VFW Post #1248 Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as past President and Secretary; she was an avid Badger, Brewer and Packer fan, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include two sons & daughters-in-law, Jim and Barbara Retzlaff of Two Rivers, Jerry and Lori Retzlaff of Shoto; two granddaughters, Christy & Angie; and one great granddaughter, Stasya. She is further survived by one sister-in-law, Grace Barta of Two Creeks; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Frank and Minnie Retzlaff; two brothers & sisters-in-law, Raymond (Bernice) Pilzak, Milton (Virginia) Pilzak; three sisters-in-law & four brothers-in-law, Irene and Gottlieb Kunstmann, Ethel and Harvey Lehrmann, Ruth and Robert Rezba, and Alan Barta; and a special niece, Kathy Jerovetz.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, after 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. There will be no visitation held this evening.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter the Fisherman Parish or the Lakeshore Humane Society.

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 - 18th St. Two Rivers is assisting the Retzlaff family with funeral arrangements.

Gladys's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the entire staff of Southern Care Hospice and the Hamilton Care Center for the wonderful care she received while residing at the center.
