CarolAnn Lemberger, age 77, of 4315 County Road CR, Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, March 14, 2014 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on August 6, 1936 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Raeck) Ruether. On May 22, 1954 she married Eugene (Gene) Lemberger at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. CarolAnn was employed with D.H.I. Dairy Heard Improvement Association of Manitowoc County for several years testing milk with her mother, Polly Ruether. Later, after the children were gone, CarolAnn worked with her husband Gene driving semi cross country.

Survivors include her husband: Gene Lemberger; two daughters: Sandra Rohr and Susan Meyer, all of Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Randall Lemberger, Cleveland, Barry & Lynn Lemberger, Manitowoc; 20 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Russell & Emily Ruether, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Celestine (Sally) & Harold Kimmel, Manitowoc, and Jacqueline Lemberger, Appleton. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by an infant son: Scott; a granddaughter: Catrina Lee Lemberger; a brother-in-law: Robert Lemberger and a son-in-law: Thomas Rohr.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall - 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014. Friends may also call Tuesday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and the medical staff of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, especially the nursing staff of the critical care unit for going above and beyond.

CarolAnn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She felt blessed to be able to travel in their motor home they purchased after retirement. Their motor home travels included trips to 50 states, including Canada and Mexico.
