Rita E. Londo, age 88, of Two Rivers, died on Wednesday afternoon, March 19, 2014, at the Hamilton Care Center, Two Rivers. Rita was born November 20, 1925, daughter of the late Paul and Genevieve (Perdzock) Taddy. She graduated from Washington High School class of 1943. On December 28, 1946, Rita married James A. Londo at St. Luke Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1998. She was a lifelong resident of Two Rivers. Rita was employed at Machut's Supper Club for many years. She was a past member of the Ladies of St. Luke and St. Peter the Fisherman Church, and volunteered with Roger's Street Fishing Village, Woodland Dunes, Two Rivers Community Hospital Auxiliary, Two Rivers Historical Society, the Two Rivers Ecumenical Pantry (TREP), and the Coming Home Choir.

Survivors include eight daughters and seven sons-in-law: Linda Londo, Barb & John Gelhausen, all of Manitowoc; Peggy and Richard Wiedmeyer, Glenbuelah, WI; Patricia and Dale Smith, Two Rivers; Ann and Gregg Wolf, Manitowoc; Noelle and Otis Huff Jr., Fayetteville, NC; Julie and Rodney Davenport,Copperas Cove, TX; Mary & Steve Massey, Two Rivers; three sons: Peter Londo, Madison; Paul Londo, and Tim Londo, both of Two Rivers; 17 grandchildren: Becky (David) Hinchley, Jacob (Katie) Gelhausen, Greta (Russ) Schwerma, David Wiedmeyer, Katie (Mark) Hanson, Brian (Zladtka) Wiedmeyer, Matthew (Carla) Smith, Andrea Smith, Jeremy (Amy) Kronforst, Sara (Noah) Hoffman, Bill Kronforst, Otis III (Tornia) Huff, Curtis, Nicholas Huff, Russell and Janella Massey, 18 great grandchildren, two step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; one sister: Sister Dolores Taddy, Fond du Lac; one brother: Vic Taddy, Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law: Avis Taddy, Bernadine Londo and best friend Doris Swoboda, all of Two Rivers.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter: Lizbeth Londo in October, 2001; one sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Ralph Schroeder; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Raymond and Rose Taddy, Luke and Ruth Ann Taddy, Cyril Taddy, Sylvia Taddy; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Rudy and Germaine Kalz.

Mom enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and the many people she met through volunteering. She loved to swim, garden, camp, knit, gamble and quilt, though not all at once. She was the Queen of recycling before it was popular and could stretch a pound of hamburger to feed 12 kids.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, in Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Peter Mitchell. Concelebrating at the Mass will be Rev.Jerome Taddy. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum in Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 26 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Rita's name to TREP, Woodland Dunes, or Rogers' Street Fishing Village.
