Zucchi, Marilyn L.

Marilyn L. Zucchi, age 83, of 714 MacArthur Drive, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 2014 at her residence.

Marilyn was born on June 22, 1931 near Valders in Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Lothar and Annebell Torrison Schroeder. Marilyn was a graduate of Mishicot High School with the class of 1949. She had been a teacher's aide for 15 years at St. Anne Catholic School in Francis Creek. Marilyn and her late husband John were residents of Rockwood until 1989 when the moved to Manitowoc. On June 13, 1951 she married John J. Zucchi Jr. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. He preceded her in death on August 12, 2004. Marilyn was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and the Christian Mother's Alter Society and was also a member of the Rockwood Homemakers since 1945 and served as the president in 2010 and 2011. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children: Mark (Jacquline) Zucchi, Manitowoc, WI; Dennis (Sue) Zucchi, Manitowoc, WI; Linda (Tony) Darnell, Moore, OK; six grandchildren: Jason (Silvia) Zucchi, Kelly Zucchi, Adam (Marit) Zucchi, Amy (Kyle) Christiansen, Tiffany (Michael) Barnett, Corey (Darrell) Green; five great grandchildren: Emma Clare Zucchi, Jordan Christainsen, Julia Ava Zucchi, Liam Barnett, Korbyn Barnett; one brother: William (Karen) Schroeder, Two Rivers, WI; one sister: Beverly (Ronald) Kocian, Wayside, WI; special friend: Edwin Brey, Green Bay, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lothar and Annebell Schroeder; husband: John Zucchi Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law: John and Alvira Zucchi Sr.; sister-in-law: Mary Jane Zucchi; special friend: Florence Brey.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Becker with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Anne Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences to the family may be sent to
