Lawrence, Arland J.

Arland J. Lawrence, age 94, of 2410 Hecker Road, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

He was born on January 25, 1919 in Manitowoc County, son of the late Raymond and Louise (Lemke) Lawrence. On May 23, 1959 he married the former Irene Hernberger at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls. She preceded him in death on January 8, 2008. Arland was employed at Walter Siemers Farm, Mirro Aluminum Company and retired from Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry in 1984. Arland was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, hunting, fishing and smoking fish.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law: Irma & Harvey Draheim, Reedsville; two sisters-in-law: LaVerne Koppelmann, Sheboygan, Rosemary Borgwardt, Arizona; six nieces: Ruth Ann Camomilli, New Holstein, Karen Voss, School Hill, Susan Spurlin, South Dakota, Darlene Stroete, Oostburg, Diane Koehler, Sheboygan, Marlene Baer, St. Nazianz; and two nephews: Dennis Draheim, Greenfield and Mark Koppelmann, Sheboygan. He is further survived by special friends: Ralph & Rosemary Lulloff and Myron Habermann, along with other relatives and friends. Arland was also preceded in death by a brother; Harold Lawrence; a sister: Blondena Borgwardt; an infant sister; a sister-in-law: Agnes Lawrence and a brother-in-law: Alton Borgwardt.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Victor Headrick with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, from 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 until 10:45 a.m.
