Joanne and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't get to meet Richard, but I know he was very generous and loving to your children and grandchildren, which makes him #1 in my book. God bless you all and may he rest in peace.

Richard standerfer, my unbelievably amazing grandfather was without a doubt known by many names. He is my grandfather, my teacher, my friend and will always be my hero. He taught me many things in my life growing up with him. He taught me to work hard for the things you want in life, the meaning of family, compassion and respect. Most importantly he taught me what it was to be a man. Growing up without a father these are only things I could have learned from my grandfather. It's the lessons you learn in life that make you who you are, and my grandpa taught me plenty. I love you so much grandpa, you will always be in my heart, my mind and everything I do. Your loving grandson, Bryan w. Leasure.
