Donna Lee Keim Dossett
Donna Keim Dossett passed away, Friday, September 21, 2012, one day after turning 82 years old. She was born in Colorado Springs, CO to Daniel and Jenny Pemberton Thornton. She spent most of her life living in Nampa, raising kids, working for Continental Laundry and Dry Cleaning, and many years at The Thoroughbred Restaurant and later Key Largo in Karcher Mall.
She married Peter S. Keim in 1949 and they had five children: Rocky Keim, Judi Keim, Paul Keim (deceased), Tommy Keim (deceased) and Julie Keim. Donna moved her family from Grangeville, ID, after Julie was born in 1963 back to Nampa. In 1968 Donna married George E. Dossett (deceased).
Donna left an impression on many people. She had a really big heart and a terrific sense of humor. She loved to tell stories of how Nampa used to be in her early years and the days of roller skating and cruising. She used to love to take drives to see the farmland and the changes of the seasons. She was a huge Magic Johnson fan and would often cry when the Lakers lost. She was a great cook and loved family gatherings over holidays and birthdays.
She is survived by her children: Rocky, Judi and Julie; daughter-in-law Connie Keim (Paul's wife); sister Gwynn Owen of Boise; her Grandkids: Don Myers, Jennifer Myers Buhler , Kristen Keim, Cara Keim and Great Granddaughter Kynlee.
The family would like to thank the staff at Nampa Care Center for their devotion and tender loving care they gave Donna through the years.
An open house to celebrate Donna's life will be held from 11am - 1pm, Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd. Nampa. 467-7300
