Caryl Robbins

Caryl J. Robbins
1/8/1936 - 2/19/2014
Peacefully and in her sleep, Caryl Jean Robbins, of Nampa, left this life after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
She was born Caryl Jean White on January 8, 1936 in Rochelle, Illinois and remained there until joining the U.S. Air Force in 1959. During her enlistment she was to wed William Harry Robbins with whom she remained married for 41 years until his death in 2004.
In 1977 she arrived in Idaho and found employment at Mercy Medical Center where she continued to work until retiring in 1998. After retiring Caryl travelled extensively through the South Pacific and Mexico. During her later years she filled her time volunteering with groups such as the American Legion and the Warhawk Air Museum.
Caryl was a kind, generous and tolerant person who lived her life with integrity, dignity and by the adage "live and let live."
She is survived by a son, Grant, grandchildren Grace and Jude, daughter-in-law Cinda and step-daughter Bonne. She will be missed. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell at 2:00pm. Services are under the direction and care of Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, Nampa, 466-3545.
