J. Katherin Dorman

J. Katherin (Dibben, Stinson, Wilson) Dorman was born in Longlain, MO; April 19, 1928. She moved to Caldwell in 1943 with her family where she attended Caldwell Sr. High School. She married Thomas Stinson and had three children - Thomas, Jane and Sharon. She worked for many years as a waitress both in the Caldwell area and throughout the West. Later she worked at the Simplot Potato Processing plant in Caldwell and prior to retirement as a cashier at the "Stinker" station on the Nampa - Caldwell Boulevard. She loved to travel having taken cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, and through the Panama Canal. Twice she traveled to Europe visiting Italy, Germany, Austria, France and England. She greatly enjoyed the outdoors, friends and family sponsoring a "Dibben" family camping reunion annually since the early 1990s. Katherin was a lifelong member of the Oregon Trail Church of God where she was active in the women's group and the Senior Pioneers of Oregon Trail (SPOT) participating in fellowship, travel and fund raising projects. One of twelve children, she is survived by two sisters; Iola Busing of Alma, Nebraska and Ruth Byers of Boise, Idaho; three children, four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Oregon Trail Church of God, Caldwell. Burial will follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.
