Barbara Ellen Griffith
July 29, 1939 - July 9, 2015
Barbara Ellen Griffith passed away peacefully on July 9, 2015, at age 75. She leaves us rich in memories and full of love.
Barbara was born in Akron, Ohio on July 29, 1939, and later moved to Southern California with her family. While attending school she was an active member of the Rainbow Girls. Soon after graduating from high school in Long Beach, Barbara married George Kruger (deceased). She raised three daughters whom she loved. In California, she was active in the PTA, Jaycettes, and Campfire Girls. In 1978, she moved to Idaho with her husband and children where she enjoyed gardening and traveling. She joined Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in 1980 and was very active in her local chapter for many years. She loved her Beta Sigma Phi sisters and always looked forward to planning the next sorority event.
In 1996, Barbara married Melvin Griffith and nothing gave them more pleasure than traveling and spending their winters in Arizona. Most importantly, she loved being a mother, grandmother, spoiling her grandchildren, and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharlene Acree (Jeff), Pamela Huck, Michelle Andrew (Tyler); seven grandchildren, Jia Acree, Amren Acree, Tatem Acree, Carson Huck, Madison Huck, Brandon Huck, and Grayson Andrew; and a great grandchild, Shea Downs.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Faye Black, father, John Black, brother, Bud Black, and husband Melvin Griffith.
