Robert "Bob" John Morf was born October 31, 1946 to John William and Hazel Irene Hackney Morf and was taken to the family farm in the Lone Tree area, north of Nampa, Idaho, which was purchased by his grandparents, Rudolph and Cora Morf, approximately 1918. Bob's parents purchased the farm in 1944 and then Bob purchased the farm in 1994.
Bob passed away following a 3 year long courageous battle with cancer on December 29, 2014.
Bob attended school in Nampa, graduating from Vallivue High School in 1965. In 1967 he married Harriet Allison. A son, Brian Lee Morf, was born to this marriage. They later divorced. In 1975 he married Dixie Newby in Twin Falls. Dixie died in 2007. In 2008 he married Pat Collins Ennor.
Bob worked for many of the local farmers while growing up, and then drove Boise Winnemucca bus prior to going to work for Campbell Tractor from 1975 to 1985. He worked a short period of time for the Nampa Highway District. Bob was the owner/operator of Bob's Repair, working on automobiles and trucks. He then began doing custom hay work until his retirement in 2014.
He was a 38 year member of the Elks Lodge, serving as the Exalted Ruler 1984-85 and was also honored as an Elk of the Year. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and traveling. He spent the last few winters in Lake Havasu City, AZ, where he made many more friends. Bob had been attending the Deer Flat Free Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dixie, nephew Danny Pywell, and his brother Jim Morf.
He is survived by his wife Pat; his son, Brian, of Nampa; step-daughters Dawna (Jerry) Hood of Aurora, CO and Kara (Greg) Paiement of Jamestown, ND; six step-grandchildren: Kayla Hood, Kenton Hood, Kimberly Hood, Karlie Paiement, Kendra Paiement, and Kyle Paiement. He is also survived by twin sisters, Joan (Marlen) Pywell of Nampa and Janette (Larry) LeMaster of Great Falls, MT; a sister-in-law, Pat Morf of Idaho Falls, ID and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Private burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. An online guest book is available at
