Brenda Joyce Rider was born July 24, 1949 to Lonzo and Priscella Rider at their home in Leslie, West Virginia. Brenda was Promoted to Glory on September 29, 2016 in Nampa, ID.
After the first four Rider children were born the family moved to Idaho, seeking a better future. Brenda is the second of ten children. Her father always said she was full of "spit and vinegar". She was proud of this and it always made her laugh.
Brenda loved and lived for her children, grandchildren and her first great grandchild, Kale Garnett. She spent her life sacrificially providing for them. She always wanted them to know she loved them very much as well as wanting them to be happy, successful, and have a good life.
Brenda loved crafts of any kind but especially enjoyed quilting, crocheting afghans, and embroidering. Brenda, along with the rest of the children attended The Salvation Army, becoming a Junior Soldier in 1959. She loved the Church and brought her children there when they were young as well.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Lonzo Rider in 1998. She leaves behind her children; Charles Edward Shipley, Priscilla Juanita Garnett (Shawn), and Jeremy Lon Shipley (Cortlandt) and their father, Edward Shipley.
