Brian James Kelly
March 30, 1979 - October 15, 2015
Brian James Kelly, 36 of Wilder, died on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at his home from a tragic accident. A celebration of his life will be at 11:00 am Thursday, October 22 at the Church of Christ located at 4012 S. 10th Ave., Caldwell, with Pastor Jay Hawkins officiating. Following the celebration will be a luncheon for friends and family at the church.
Brian was born March 30, 1979 in Caldwell, the younger of two children, to Robert J. and Karen (Barnes) Kelly. He had many wonderful memories of his childhood in Greenleaf where he grew up. He attended Vallivue High School up until his junior year and transferred to Notus High School excelling in baseball and graduated in 1997. Brian married Joy Moore, and together they shared many cherished memories, later parting ways but remained good friends.
He attended college at Carrington College for a short time; and worked various jobs including being a newspaper carrier for the Idaho Press Tribune since 2009. He covered paper routes in Wilder, Homedale and other parts of Canyon County. In addition, Brian had just started working at the Jackson's convenience store in Wilder.
Brian has been affiliated with the Church of Christ in Caldwell. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, and uncle. He was dependable and never hesitated to help his family and friends. He enjoyed walks with his dogs, teaching his nephew Hayden pitching techniques in baseball, spending time with his parents, camping, working on cars and riding horses. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, co-workers and all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Karen Kelly; sister and her spouse, Brad and Kris (Kelly) Farner, Caldwell; Grandmother, Bonnie (Kelly) Barnes, Wilder; nephew and nieces, Hayden, Audie, Maris and Hadley Farner, Caldwell; Uncle, Richard Barnes, Caldwell; Aunt Donna (Joe) Carson, Middleton; Aunt Ellen (Kelly) Stotts, Wilder and numerous cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to Mountain America Credit Union 112 2nd St. S. Nampa 83651, in memory of Brian Kelly.
