June 28, 1918 - February 08, 2016
Catherine Louise Green, a resident of Nampa, Idaho for the past 20 years, passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 8th at 97 years of age. Born Catherine Louise Isgrigg on June 28, 1918 in Dinuba CA to Ernest and Mollly Isgrigg, the family soon moved to Nampa, Idaho for 3 years. Work brought Catherine's family back to Dinuba and Catherine grew up in Dinuba attending the Dinuba Public Schools. Catherine had fond memories of a happy childhood in Dinuba. A brother, Verling Isgrigg, was added to the Isgrigg family and he was Catherine's pride and joy. While still a child, Catherine, along with her parents helped start the Dinuba Church of the Nazarene. She was the last living charter member of the church. Catherine graduated from Dinuba Union High School in 1936. She attended Pasadena College and Business College in Fresno preparing for a business career. While attending Pasadena College, Catherine met the love of her life, Robert H. Green. Catherine and Bob were married in Los Angeles First Church of the Nazarene on September 2, 1942 beginning a loving marriage that lasted 52 years. Catherine and Bob moved from Los Angeles back to Dinuba and on December 1, 1942, Catherine became the Western Union Agent and Bob became the Greyhound Lines Agent. Bob and Catherine were hard workers and well known and loved in Dinuba. They were dedicated to their church and to loving the Lord by serving others. Two daughters were born to Catherine and Bob. Catherine and Bob desired that Catherine could be home with her girls and Catherine had her chance when husband Bob was elected as Assessor-Collector for the Alta Irrigation District in Dinuba. The Green couple also ran a chicken business in Dinuba and beginning in 1964, in the outskirts of Reedley, CA. After Bob's death in 1995, Catherine moved to Nampa, ID where she enjoyed 20 years of happiness near her youngest daughter Kathleen and family. Catherine is survived by two daughters, Darlene Bartschi of Angels Camp, CA, and Kathleen Kratochwill of Nampa, ID; four grandchildren, Loren and Loreen Bartschi of CA and Ron and Chelsi Kratochwill of Nampa, ID and one great grandchild, Nova Jace Gardner of Nampa. Memorials can be made to the Dinuba Church of the Nazarene. The Nampa Yraguen Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. A viewing will be held at 9:30 AM at the DInuba, CA Church of the Nazarene with a graveside service at Smith Mountain Cemetery in Dinuba at 11:00 AM.
