Clyde Edward Hally, 79, of Nampa, formerly of Middleton, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Dec. 10, 2015 at home, with his wife, JoAnn, of 59 years by his side. He had struggled with Alzheimer's for many years. Clyde was born May 15, 1936 in Weiser, ID to Margaret (Wilson) and Ted Hally. A graduate of Jefferson High School in Portland, OR, and attended University of Idaho in Moscow, where he earned Civil Engineer Degree, he also met his wife, JoAnn there. Clyde was drafted by US. Army and he and JoAnn moved to Alaska before it was a state. One of his most memorable assignments was a 6 month stay at the Windward Islands in Grenada, off the coast of Brazil. He took a team of experts from different countries to accomplish this project. His last assignment was the Regional Office for the Northwest, in Portland, OR from which he took early retirement. Clyde and JoAnn moved from Beaverton, OR to Middleton, ID. and a few years later moved to Silver Crest Estates II in Nampa.
Clyde is survived by his wife, JoAnn; a son, Sean Hally and Irini (Shannon) Hally; three grandchildren, Kendall Burns, Morgan Hally and Devin Hally. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jackie O'Leary and grandparents. A Committal Service will be held at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM. Condolences may be left at
