Darrin Dee Duff, 49, of Nampa, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on Oct. 12, 2016 at his home.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by the love of his life, his wife of a entirely too short 2 + years, Gabrielle Skoro, stepson Solomon Skoro, Mother and Father, Nancy and Steven Duff, and brothers, Scott Duff (Tiffani) of Idaho Falls, ID and, Keith Duff (Christle) of Nampa, ID, Father and Step Mother, Dennis and Joanne Halls and 2 brothers and 3 Sisters of Union, OR, Dan and Connie Whitted (Gabrielle's parents) of Grand View, ID, Anna Queen (Kayla) of Boise, ID, 11 Nephews & 11 Nieces and many more loving extended family members.
Darrin was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on May 14, 1967. He graduated from Skyline High School in Idaho Falls. He then joined the Army. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, he attended a culinary college in Salt lake City, Utah. He then moved to Nampa, Idaho, where after many years he met the Love of his life, his wife Gabi and then truly began the happiest years of his life.
He was a truly generous man that always gave, whether it be much or little, before he was ever even asked. With his passing this world has lost a tremendous asset and the universe has gained a tremendous resource, he will be deeply missed by those of us he has left behind.
A special thanks to the members of the Nampa Elks Lodge #1389, where he was an officer for many years. They were an integral part of his life, and he had many valued friends there. He last worked at the HomeBrewStuff.com warehouse, where everybody truly made him feel appreciated and valued.
A Military honors service will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, ID on Friday, December 2nd at 3 p.m. If you plan to attend, please arrive 10 minutes early as all attendees will be escorted from the assembly area to the committal shelter promptly at 3.
A Celebration of Darrin's life will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 3 p.m. at the Nampa Elks Lodge #1389. As all of you who knew Darrin know, Food, Family and Friends were very important to him, so as we conclude our remembrance of Darrin and celebrate his life, we will be having a potluck. Bring your favorite dish and memory or story to share. The family will provide the main dish.
