Donald Leon Nixon, age 78, passed away Sunday, May13, 2018, at Nampa, Idaho.
He was born November 7, 1939, in Weiser, Idaho to Holworth and Lois Evelyn (Hetrick)

Don grew up on the Nixon Ranch at Brownlee and attended school at Cambridge, Idaho
where he participated in football.
As a fourth generation Nixon to live and work on the ranch, Don followed in the foot-steps of his Father, grandfather and great-grandfather. At an early age he learned the business of ranching from his father Holworth and grandfather Lawrence (Pop) Nixon.
He was a real cowboy spending many hours a day on horseback working cattle for many years.
On April 19, 1961, Don married Nadine Solders in Elko, Nevada. They became the parents of three children, Lawrence, Todd, and Lisa. Don attended sports events and 4-H
fairs in which his children participated. As fall rolled around he always looked forward
to hunting season when Todd and Lawrence would join him in deer and elk hunting.
Don and Nadine were later divorced but they remained friends through-out the years.
Surviving Don are his three children, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother John H. Nixon of Conneticut, sister Carmeta lee Nixon, of Weiser, two Aunts,
Lee Norland of Orofino, Idaho, Dorothy Ware of Boise, Uncle Bud Hetrick of Wilder, and four nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grand parents, Lawrence and Minnie Nixon and
Catherine and Irv Hetrick, and a younger brother James L. Nixon
A memorial service will be held at Thomason Funeral Chapel, in Weiser, Idaho, on May 26, 2018, at 2:00 P.M.
