Ella Ray Holsclaw
April 16, 1931 - December 11, 2016
Ella Ray Holsclaw, 85 of Nampa, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at home of natural causes. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16th at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Condolences may be shared at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com
Ella was born April 16, 1931 in Parma, Idaho, to Ida Mae Doman Marlin and Roy Earl Marlin. She graduated from Hailey High School.
Ella married Francis Eugene Holsclaw in 1952 and later divorced. To this union, six daughters and one son were born. She was so proud of her children and supported them in everything they did.
After many years of dedicated employment, Ella retired from Carnation Potato Company and she loved retirement! She loved her three 'Red Hat' groups, going fishing, watching her grandchildren in sports, music performances, and just spending time with her family in general. Ella also enjoyed being an usher at the Civic Center and for CanAct Theater where she was able to see many great events.
Ella was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Idella, two sisters, and two brothers. She was the last remaining sibling.
Ella is survived by five daughters, Sharon Dringle of Nampa, Susan (Mike) Hall of McCammon, ID, Selena Wallace of Nampa, Peggy (Charlie) Brown of Caldwell, and Ida (Steve) Dorais of Yakima, WA; her son, Edward (Cherie) Holsclaw of Nampa; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Ella had a wonderful sense of humor and would make us laugh whenever possible.
