Eunice LaBerta (Bert) Ratliff Douty

Eunice LaBerta (Bert) Ratliff Douty, age 71, of Greenleaf, passed away at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho on 09/16/2016.
She was the daughter of Emery and Eva Ratliff. She was born in Gooding, Idaho on 09/19/1944. She grew up and graduated High School in Grandview, Idaho. She graduated high school in 1962 and then attended Boise Junior College. She was employed at the Wood River Journal in Sun Valley, Idaho. She later moved to Idaho Falls for a short period of time before moving back to the Treasure Valley and built a house in Greenleaf in 1980 where she resided until her death.
She worked at Brown Bus Company and for Dr. Micky Strizkie DVM in Caldwell for a time. She then opened the Homestead Cafe in Greenleaf. She then bought the Udder Place in Caldwell, Idaho. Bert finished out her career with JR. Simplot Co. retiring in 2004. She met Delbert Douty, who she later married on 01/31/03.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eva and Emery Ratliff. She is survived by her husband Delbert Douty, her brother Merlin Ratliff and his wife Gail, her son Will Ratliff and his fiance Elyssa of Florida, as well as Pauline and Tom Goff of Colorado, Christine and Scott Valerio and Robert Douty.
She loved spending time with her twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and special cousins Nikki and Mike Swain. Along with many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
