Evelyn Rose Loveland
July 18, 1912 - December 6, 2014
Evelyn Rose Loveland, 102, of Jordan Valley, OR died on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 in Marsing, ID. Evelyn was born July 18, 1912 to Tom and Clara Whitby in Nampa, Idaho. In the winter of 1914 the family moved to Oakley, Idaho. In June 1916 they moved to Cliffs, ID then on to the 5-Bar, when it came time for the children to start to school they moved back to Cliffs, ID. Evelyn attended schools at Cliffs, Melba, and Nampa, ID.
She married William Elbert Loveland on August 25, 1930; they lived at the 5 Bar for a few years, before moving to Cliffs, ID where they homesteaded. To this union 6 Children were born: David, Lova, Mildred, Andy, Ruth and Clara (Tootie).
In May 1940, they moved to the Warm Springs Ranch located 1 mile west of Jordan Valley, OR. They lived on the ranch until May 1965, when they moved into Jordan Valley and retired. She was active in the PTA all the while her children were in school; she also was an active member of the Methodist Church and in the WSCS for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Bill Loveland; and 2nd husband of 17 years, Bill Farmer; an infant daughter, Mildred, a grandson, "Buddy" Loveland; a son David; sister and brother-in-law, Ulea "Peach" and Bob Gulch; brother-in-law Chuck Dougal; a brother, Arthur and a son-in-law, Donnie Turner. She is survived by a son, Andy Loveland of Middleton, ID; 3 Daughters: Lova (Ray) Easterday of Hagerman, ID, Ruth (Gene) Clapier of Marsing, ID; Clara "Tootie" Turner of Middleton, ID; Sister, Frankie Dougal of Cliffs, ID; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews along with a host of friends, and her black cat. Evelyn's viewing will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, ID, Her Funeral service will be at Jordan Valley Grade School Gym, Jordan Valley, OR on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Jordan Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jordan Valley Ambulance Fund, or Jordan Valley Museum.
