Ezequiel Campos Obituary
Ezequiel C. Campos
September 4, 1930 - June 9, 2018
Ezequiel Campos, 87, of Caldwell, passed away of natural causes on Saturday June 9th. Born on September 4, 1930 to Francisco and Paula Campos, Ezequiel was known as a family man since he married his love and companion Dora Campos (Martinez) in 1960. They were married for 57 years and had six children Sarah, Francisco (Corina), Elias, Diana, Elizabeth, and Christina. He was grandfather to twelve grandchildren: Francisco Jr. Campos (Claudia), Ezequiel Campos, Cassandra Perez (Agustin), Gabriel Perez Jr. (Ayla), Christopher Campos (Priscilla), Angelica Campos, Marlo Campos (Leticia), Vanessa Campos, Lucas Perez (Annette), Noey Campos, Quincy Anaya, Nadia Prevo and 39 great- grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Josefa "Pepa" Campos.
Ezequiel and Dora married in Mexico then moved to McAllen, Texas. They lived in Brawley, California, then Wilder and finally made their home in Caldwell, Idaho. It was here where Ezequiel became widely known as the "Grape Whisperer," for his contributions to the Idaho Wine Industry. He worked for Bitner Vineyards for three decades; the links attached perfectly depict the importance of his presence in the industry. When not tending to the vineyards, Ezequiel enjoyed his favorite hobbies, going to Jackpot, NV, scratching lotto tickets, caring for his fruit and vegetable garden, perfecting his rose garden, which brought joy to his wife and spending quality time with family on vacations or backyard gatherings. These will forever be fond memories, in the hearts of his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Paula Campos, wife Dora Campos, siblings Anselmo, Eudelia, Felipe, Hermelinda, and Antonio, daughters Sarah and Christina Campos, and son-in-law Pricilano (Presley) Anaya. There will be a viewing accompanied by a memorial service at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell on Saturday, June 16, 2018, Idaho from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be given at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com
