Floyd C. Everhart
September 26, 1925 - May 11, 2015
Floyd Curran Everhart was born on September 26, 1925 in Brownell, Kansas. He was raised on the large, family homestead. Although his brothers went off to WWII in '43, Floyd stayed to run the farm with his dad until '45 when he went to college in Bethany, OK. He met and married Helen Neuhauser Everhart on Sept. 14, 1948. They were married for 62 years.
Floyd heard the call to serve in the ministry and graduated from Nazarene Theological Seminary. Floyd and Helen served faithfully as pastors in home mission churches for 30 years. He will be remembered as a prayer warrior who loved his kids and grandkids.
Eight children were born through this union from 1950-1965. He is survived by his children: Jim & Cindy Everhart, Boise, ID; Gary Sr. & Donna Everhart, Boise, ID; Phebe Roberts Everhart, Frisco, TX; Jim & Pam Doramus, New Meadows, ID; Joy Everhart, McCall, ID; Gloria & Steve Robertson, Weiser, ID; and Tim & Beth Everhart, Spiro, OK. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Hoover Everhart Herman and his father, Fred C Everhart; sons: Daniel L. Everhart, Samuel W. Everhart; daughter in-law, R. Jean Collar Everhart; and 4 brothers, 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Montana Ave. Baptist Church, 3120 S. Montana Ave. Caldwell. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
