Fred Steven Holton
July 25, 1949 - June 26, 2017
A man of God has left this world to be with his Father after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was such a blessing to those who knew him and will be greatly missed. In his heart he was always a farm boy who loved the land, his family, friends, and volunteering for the Nampa Police Department. His devotion was hard to beat as an employee of Boeing, the city of Nampa, and driving a bus for the Meridian School District. Nothing was beyond his reach as he trained for long distance bike rides, bowling competitively, golfng, camping, gardening, and always having an immaculate yard.
In 1968 he graduated from Borah High School and later enlisted in the Army. Soon after he found the bride that he was to spend the rest of his life with, Valerie, where they enjoyed a lifetime in friendship and love.
Fred was born in Concordia, KS to Rex (deceased) and Dorothy (Meridian, ID) Holton; he is preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin and Roger, survived by his mother, Dorothy and sister, Bonita (Gary), as well many nieces and nephews and their families.
A celebration of life shall be held at noon at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 307 W. Iowa Ave., Nampa, ID, on July 7, 2017 at 12:00PM. We are extremely thankful to those who provided such excellent care, love and support (St. Al's, Cancer Care Center, and Huntsman's Institute of SLC). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to of SLC, UT.
