Gwendolyn June Trevenna Sells
February 17, 1920 - August 28, 2015
Gwendolyn June Trevenna Sells, 95, Greenleaf, passed away August 28, 2015 at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenleaf Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com.
She was born in Williamsburg, (a suburb of Butte) Montana on February 17, 1920. She graduated from Butte High School in 1940. Gwen loved her work as a nurse's aide in the pediatric department of hospitals at Butte, Great Falls, Roseburg, Oregon and Blythe, CA. She also worked as a clerk in different department stores.
Gwen enjoyed living in Pasadena and while residing there she made some wonderful friends. She worked as a companion to many little ladies in Pasadena. She was a blessing to many.
In 1974, Gwen moved to Nampa. On June 24, 1976 she married Claude E. Sells and they made their home in Greenleaf. One of the things she loved to do was to talk to mothers with little children about Focus on the Family and KGBN. She loved to sell pussy willows every spring.
Because of her physical condition, she had not been able to attend church for several years.
Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Sells who passed away August 15, 2007, and by her father and mother, George and Pearl Trevenna of Nampa; sister Adell Vauthier died January 8, 2015.
She is survived by her brothers George and Tom (Gloria) Trevenna of Butte, Montana; brother-in-law Andy Vauthier of Nampa, and several nieces and nephews.
