Harold Fred Tabor
Harold Tabor, 100, of Nampa, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Harold was born July 22, 1914 in Shelton, Nebraska. He was the third of eight children born to Sadie Stearley Tabor and James Tabor. He grew up in the Gibbon, Nebraska area.
Harold married Lucille Clifton on November 26, 1941 in Smith Center, Kansas. They had a double wedding with his brother Lloyd and his bride Florence.
Harold served in the Army during World War II. He was in the Battle of the Bulge. He returned in 1945 after serving three years.
Harold farmed in the Melba, Idaho area. He retired from the Sugar Factory after 23 years.
He and Lucille spent many years traveling in their RV, enjoyed several cruises and spent winters in Arizona.
Harold is survived by his wife Lucille of 73 years; his three children: Carolyn Clark, Ray (Judy) Tabor and Wilma (Myron) Noe; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and his sister; grandson Scott Noe; two sons-in-law, Gary Martin and Kenny Clark.
The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice, especially Kevin and Sara.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the Melba Cemetery on Base Line Road in Melba. Arrangements are under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300 Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com.
