James Lee Willmorth
March 25, 1943 - May 18, 2016
James L. Willmorth, 73, of Kuna died suddenly on May 18, 2016 of natural causes.
Jim was born March 25, 1943 in Caldwell, ID to Florence and William Willmorth.
He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1962 and married the love of his life, Dody, on New Year's Eve in 1969.
His life's work of custom farming started in Bruneau, ID. This led him to New Plymouth, ID where he raised the pride of his life, his boys; Dan and Tim. Although the company changed names three times, from American Fine Foods to Chiquita to Seneca, Jim farmed for them for 32 yrs. He then spent 5 yrs. as a field supervisor for Payette County until he retired in 2013 and moved to Kuna.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, loving everything outdoors, especially birds, being able to distinguish every species. He never missed a Thursday night with his beloved pinochle club in Melba. He also had a great passion for the one armed bandit (slot machines).
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Florence and William Willmorth, his second mom (mother-in -law) Betty Loring, his sisters Helen Rohlfing, Elaine Hallstrom, and Jackie Weber and his brother Stan Willmorth. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 yrs. Dody Willmorth, his two sons; Dan (Waynoka) Willmorth and Tim Willmorth (life partner Danny Utterbeck), his aunt and partner in crime RoseMary Dorman, sister Edna Brenton, sister-in-law Lynn Willmorth, brother Gerald (Donna) Willmorth, granddaughters Tonya, Katrina, Journey, and Mesha, grandson Robert, god sons Sam and Leigh, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell (624 Cleveland Blvd) from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with Rosary being recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 10:30 AM also at the chapel with burial to follow at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell. A luncheon / visitation will be held immediately following at Best Western Inn & Suites, 908 Specht Ave, Caldwell. Condolences may be left at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com.
